Welcome to Gateway to Adventure

We started Wilderness Inquiry over 30 years ago, to provide real outdoor experiences for everyone.  Since then, we have served hundreds of thousands of people of all abilities throughout the world on high quality adventures. Gateway is a natural extension of Wilderness Inquiry's broader mission of "Bringing People Together in the Wilderness."

The Gateway to Adventure program came about when we realized that some people with developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and various forms of autism needed more support and training before they could fully participate on adventures involving non-disabled peers.

Over the years, Gateway has helped hundreds of people transition from segregated to more integrated integrated outdoor adventures through extra training and support. We believe these skills translate back into everyday life, making Gateway experiences an effective catalyst on the path to greater independence.  Gateway to Adventure participants come out of the program with greater independence, stronger relationships, and higher levels of self-esteem and confidence.

Please call us if you have any questions about the Gateway to Adventure Program.  For many WI adventurers, it's a great place to start.

Sincerely,
